Social Support and Chronic Pain

Chronic Pain is a long-term health condition influenced by a variety of biological, psychological and social factors. These factors can impact upon the well-being and physical health of people with chronic pain.

 

Social support groups exist for people suffering with chronic pain, but so far, little is known about what their members get out of them. This research aims to investigate if/how social support groups can influence outcomes related to chronic pain.

 

Taking part in the study requires completion of a 15-20 minute online survey.

 

To take part in this study, you must:

 

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Have received a diagnosis of chronic pain (or chronic pain condition(s)) from a healthcare professional

  • Attend a chronic pain support group.
